Proceeds from Beers & Gears will go directly to support the educational and empowerment programs of Bike Peoria. Bike Peoria is a 501(c)3, volunteer run, non-profit organization that is focused on empowering more people to travel Peoria by bicycle. Together, we are working to make riding around Peoria safe, practical, and fun. Beers and Gears is our largest annual fundraiser whose proceeds will support the following strategic efforts:

  • Bike Peoria Co-op: a shared bike workshop on Main Street in Peoria providing low-cost bike maintenance, support, and education.
  • Youth Empowerment Programming: Bike Peoria partners with other local non-profits by offering Build-a-Bike programs that upcycle donated kid’s bikes while teaching kids how to maintain them and ride safely.
  • Improving Local Bike Trails & Infrastructure: Advocacy, support, and consultation for improvements, maintenance, and programming of the Rock Island Greenway as well as other bike routes throughout the Peoria area.
